GLA:D Program for Osteoarthritis

The pandemic hasn't stopped this program!  Join us on video to exercise together and be observed by our Kinesiologist to ensure you are doing it correctly.
GLA:D is an 8-week education and exercise program developed in Denmark for people with symptoms of knee or hip osteoarthritis (OA).

If you are experiencing pain or stiffness in your hip(s) or knee(s), it may be symptoms of OA. If you experience instability in your knee, “like it will give out”, this could be OA. If you suffer from stiffness and lack of mobility in the knee/hip joint, it may be OA.  Do you hear grinding or clicking noises in your joints, it could be OA.

This program will teach you the right way to move to reduce your OA symptoms.  People taking the GLA:D program:
  • have reduced pain
  • take fewer pain medications
  • take less time off work
  • are able to be more active

GLA:D is for all patients that have symptoms of hip or knee OA.  Exercise is the best way to regenerate your cartilage.  For more information, contact your physician or nurse practitioner for a referral or contact us directly through any means listed on our contact page.
